Portugal is the land of the Luistano horse and Nuno Olivera the classical dressage master and everywhere you will see reference to this training.
This tour includes a visit to the Portuguese riding School to watch a training session where the riders will be exercising the horses and they maybe practicing for an upcoming Gala show or training youngsters in hand.
The rest of the week is spent riding beautifully trained Lusitano horses and improving your riding skills. Lessons at the Equestrian centre are always on a private basis, enabling you to concentrate wholly on what you wish to achieve, whether it be to strengthen your position, improve your lateral work or get the hang of one-time changes.
The venue is stunning and you will have time to relax with a glass of wine in hand. The food is all locally produced and home cooked and the equestrian centre boasts its own winery.

None are more iconic than Tram 28 which has been working its way up the steep, cobbled roads. St George’s Castle is unquestionably the most visible landmark of Lisbon’s historic centre, standing tall and firm above the streets of the old Alfama District, the great citadel was first built more than 2,000 years ago by the Romans. Portugal is also famous for tiles and you might like to visit the National Tile Museum, which is dedicated to everything fired in a kiln. (Includes hop on hop off bus)
