Spain Horse Experience
This group tour is based on a small escorted group with a maximum of 9 riders. Extra non-riding friends and partners are most welcome. The tour includes horse riding with Dressage lessons and Trail Riding in the beautiful Andalusia countryside. There is also the opportunity to see Madrid and visit all the museums, palaces and historical sites, as well as plenty of shopping and sampling of the local Spanish food.
This tour’s combination of trail and train is the perfect way to see Spain from a new angle – the back of a horse. Ideal for riders who enjoy trail riding, along with devoting some time to improving their riding skills. Your confidence in and enjoyment of horse riding will increase significantly over the length of this tour.
Some of the highlights include a visit to Jerez, the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and a flamenco show in Seville. Trail riding in the beautiful Andalusian countryside includes a ride in the national park and along the beach. You will also be able to practice Dressage on advanced Dressage horses and learn high school movements.

Australia – Madrid
On arrival in Madrid, transfer from the airport to your hotel. Meet this evening for a briefing and, afterwards, enjoy a few tapas at San Miguel Markets, which is within walking distance. Includes airport transfer.

This morning, you may like to visit the Royal Palace, an art museum or one of the lovely parks. We have given you this one final day of leisure, so you can choose your own activities and experience Madrid as you choose.

After breakfast, we travel to the farm. Saddle up for the Old Hacienda Ride, a relaxed hack around the countryside through olive and eucalyptus trees. Return for lunch to savour your first experience of typical Andalusian home cooking. Then, perhaps you might like to take a swim. Equitation lessons will take place in the late afternoon when it cools down. After lessons, we transfer back to the hotel. Includes ride, lunch, lesson and transfers.
This evening, explore the old streets of Carmona, including the archaeological sites or the Roman Necropolis which is the second largest after Rome. There are many restaurants and bars within close walking distance if you wish to eat outside the hotel.

After breakfast, we mount up and set off across the countryside for the Roman Bridge. Depending on the time of year, you will ride through fields of sunflowers, wheat, cotton, oranges or peaches, along with olive groves with ancient trees still carefully nurtured. After a short break, it is time to return for a late lunch (not included) and siesta. Afternoon lessons and dinner in Carmona are on offer for an additional cost. Includes lesson and transfer.

Today, we ride across the countryside for our last hack through olive and orange groves, and past local farmers working the land. Then, we return to the Hacienda for lunch and arrive back at the hotel for your return to Seville. The first stop is one of the best quality leather and tack shops in the city, followed by a classical flamenco show, which is optional. Afterwards we dine as a group at an excellent restaurant offering Spanish and international cuisine, and superb Spanish wine. Finally, we transfer back to the hotel. Includes ride and transfers. Flamenco show and dinner optional and paid locally.

After breakfast, the rest of the day is free to explore your new surrounds of Madrid with a hop on hop off bus tour. Madrid’s main attractions include three internationally famous art galleries, a royal palace, grand public squares and many museums filled with treasures of Spain’s history. Then, enjoy a welcome dinner tonight at a local restaurant. Includes tour and dinner.

Madrid – Seville – Carmona
The morning is free for you to do some last minute shopping or sightseeing. If you like markets, the El Rastro street market is open in La Latina area every Sunday. After lunch (not included), we transfer to the train station for our trip to Seville.
On arrival, our hosts from the Hacienda Sevilla will greet us and transfer us to our hotel in Carmona. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in one of the many bars at the hotel prior to a welcome dinner with your tour group. This evening, your host will go over the week’s riding program. Includes transfers.

We start with an early breakfast, then depart for Jerez de la Frontera. Jerez is internally renowned for its production of sherry and brandy. However, today’s main attraction will be a visit to the Real Escuela Andalusia del Arte Ecuestre and their performance titled ‘How the Andalusian Horses Dance’. Here, in the breathtaking setting of their 18th Century Palace, you will see the magnificent Andalusian stallions. They will perform piaffe, passage and airs above the ground in a spectacle of light, music and colour, only to be compared to the Spanish Riding School of Vienna.
Then, we return to the Hacienda for lunch and a dip in the pool if you wish, followed by your next lesson in the afternoon. Tonight, you may like to enjoy dinner outdoors in the village square. If you’re in the mood to relax, you may decide to stay in. Includes performance, lesson and transfer. Jerez visit payable locally.

Today, we set off to the seaside village of Matalascanas, where sturdy Spanish horses will carry you on a beach ride. Taking you on an unforgettable route through the Donana Natural Park, bordering the national park of the same name. This is one of Europe’s last true wilderness regions. You will ride over golden dunes, which is home to many protected species, including fallow deer, boar, fox, lynx, imperial eagles, kites, vultures, storks, flamingos and herons. Then, we return to the water for a canter in the surf for those who wish. After we return to the Hacienda for lunch, you may like to take a swim before your next lesson. Includes ride, lesson and transfer.

Carmona – Seville
We enjoy our last breakfast together and say goodbye. Then, transfer to Seville airport or train station for your journey home. Includes transfer.
You are welcome to extend your stay in Seville or perhaps travel onwards to Barcelona or other parts in Europe.
